The Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery (Turk J Vasc Surg) aims primarily to serve vascular surgeons as a leading international open-access journal in which the diagnosis of arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases and their medical, endovascular, and surgical treatments are updated and discussed.
To achieve this goal, the journal contributes to the management of patients with vascular disorders by publishing relevant articles focusing on the investigation, management, and prevention of peripheral arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases, vascular access, trauma, and vascular malformations.
The journal reports important medical, surgical, and endovascular advances, tests new hypotheses, and addresses current controversies. Papers focusing on the technical aspects of vascular surgery are encouraged, and the journal includes invited state-of-the-art articles.
These encompass relevant clinical, surgical, and experimental studies, editorials, current and collective reviews, technical notes, case reports, interesting images, “How to Do It” articles, correspondences, and commentaries.
The Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery is intended for vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, angiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, diabetologists, rehabilitation specialists, and all healthcare professionals involved in the primary, secondary, and tertiary care of patients with vascular diseases.

As of 2023, Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery continues publication exclusively in electronic format.
The journal was established in 1992 under the title “Damar Cerrahi Dergisi” and has been published as the Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery since 2019. The journal is published in English.
The Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery is the official journal of the National Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society and the Phlebology Society. The journal is funded by these societies. No submission, processing, or publication fees are charged to authors.
The Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery is published three times a year in March, July, and November.
The journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
